Amber is the result of fossilized tree resin, a sticky substance like sap that oozes from particular species of trees. Sometimes, as the sap hardens, it traps insects, plant matter, and in some very rare cases, even lizards, small dinosaurs, or feathers. The clarity of amber is based on several factors, but it’s most often the result of the location and conditions it was found in. Each of our amber pieces has “inclusions” in it, which are usually insects or plants. These main inclusions are called out in the item descriptions, but there are always surprises to be on the lookout for, bonuses we didn’t catch!
