Description
Deltadromeus Hand Claw (260211o)
Species: Deltadromeus agilis
Age: Early Cretaceous, 150 million years old
Location: Taouz Begaa, Morocco
Measuring up to 26 ft long and weighing up to a ton, Deltadromeous would have been a formidable predator. For a therapod, Deltadromeous had very long arms in proportion to its body, suggesting it may have used them for latching onto prey while chasing them down. With a name meaning “delta runner,” its belived that this dinosaur was a fast and agile hunter, though because of incomplete skeletal remains, the jury is still out.
This piece has been sealed to protect it from degradation, but is otherwise completely original and natural.
