Description
Keichousaurus (260216d)
Species: Keichousaurus sp.
Age: Triassic, 250 million years old
Location: Guizhou, China
Formation: Guanling Formation
Keichousaurus was a highly adapted early marine reptile, likely spending most of its life in and around the water. These animals are often found fully articulated with complete or near-complete skeletons, which make for some very impressive display pieces. Coming from China, these fossils are becoming increasingly difficult to come by. This makes for a great opportunity to add one of these incredible specimens to your collection before they disappear!
This particular specimen is a large adult and is a great piece despite the crack in the center due to the excellent definition of the bones. In addition, this guy is missing a section of his tail, but all of these factors help make the fossil a bit more affordable. As you can see from the other, more complete specimens on the site, the price is heavily reduced for a piece just as stunning and dynamic as the next.
Offer includes a stand, name plate, and Certificate of Authenticity
