While most parts of dinosaurs can fossilize, some of the most impressive, and luckily also the most abundant pieces that do, are teeth. Dinosaurs would often replace their teeth multiple times throughout their lives, providing us with hundreds of examples, not just the set an animal died with. That’s helpful because we can learn a lot about an animal’s age, diet, and even behavior just by looking at the size, shape, and wear on their teeth! This gives each one a different story to tell, and for you to discover, about life during that time.
